grandpagreenFew picture books touch me as deeply as Grandpa Green by Lane Smith. It is gorgeously illustrated, clever, humourous, multigenerational, sparsely worded but perfectly paced, and poignant. I simply adore it.  It’s at the top of my mock Caldecott 2012 list.
